The KR-93C fully automatic rotary oxygen bomb tester, also called rotating pressure vessel oxidation tester (RPVOT), is designed and manufactured according to the standard ASTM D2272-2009 "Lubricating Oil Oxidation Stability Test" metal bath standard. It is suitable for assessing the oxidation stability of new and used turbine oils with the same composition (base oils and additives). It can also be used to evaluate new mineral insulating oils containing 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol as a rapid assessment method for its oxidation stability. The test results were used to test new mineral insulating oils containing 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol or 2,6-di-tert-butylphenol or both, with continuous control of performance for each batch of oil.
